So here's the scenario:

I have a site that users must enter a username and password to get
into. The usernames and passwords are stored in a Filemaker 5
database called "login.fp5". If the username and password are found
in that database, a cookie of the session ID is set. That session
ID, along with the user's username and password is stored into
another database called "session.fp5". So far so good.

Now for the problem. After a user has logged into the site through
the above method, I want them to be able to access pages that
identify them through their cookies. The cookie should be set as a
variable called 'ID' and then referenced in the "session.fp5"
database. In that database, the username and password are then set
to variables and used to reference other necessary databases. While
I realize how straight forward and simple this sounds, I have been
having the worst luck getting it to work.

After hours of troubleshooting, I have narrowed it down to a problem
with Lasso setting the cookie as a variable. I have been able to
display a cookie, so I know that I set one, and that I am able to
retrieve it. I have been able to set the variable as a specific
cookie stored in the "session.fp5" database and have everything work,
but I can't get the users cookie to be set as a variable.
