I am using Dreamweaver and have remote settings set to use a WEBDAV server. The Server is an mac osx server running apache. I have added the following line in the Apache config file for my tertiary domain "webdav.mydomain.edu"
RemoveHandler lasso las inc lassoapp
So that lasso files are not processed by the lasso handler when using the webdav domain. I also have "authoring" privileges for this domain.
Problem. If file exists on the server then checking in a file from dreamweaver is successful.
If file to be downloaded is a new file (Does not exist on the server yet) and I attempt to upload it to the server with dreamweaver it give me an error (after a substantial delay) that is was unable to upload the file.
"The desired action could not be completed because the desired resource was not found (http Error 404)"
"An error occured - cannot put myfile.lasso"
What setting could i be missing? It seems to be looking for the file and when it gets the typical web browser 404 error if freaks out. Shouldn't it just be depositing the file in the folder?
Is there a dreamweaver setting i need to change? Or maybe an OSX server setting for the webdav domain?
