Using FileMaker in Dreamweaver via Lasso Studio
Dear Lasso Studio pro's,
I'm experienced in developing dynamic web applications in Dreamweaver MX using MS Access databases and a ColdFusion appl/webserver, however I'm a rookie in doing the same trick with a FileMaker database.
Since I didn't succeed in configuring the FileMaker's ODBC connectivity, I started doing more research and read about Lasso Studio for Dreamweaver doing this trick with XML tags and functions (correct?). So I downloaded the trial version of Lasso Studio for Dreamweaver version 6. Installation went well, but now I need to administer and initialize where I do face some questionmarks.
First of all I don't really know what to do with the LP6 Lasso Administration file "Admin.LassoApp" after having it downloaded. It can't be opened. Do I have to copy it to a particular directory??
Second I tried to initialize Lasso Studio according to the book: first enter serial nr for trial, then enter host address (127.0.0.1 since server runs on same machine), create admin user name and password and then I get an error:
"Error - The connection to 127.0.0.1 at <date & time> failed. The downloaded fragment was not of the proper form"
After cancelling I do get the Lasso Studio Panel, but of course with the same error noted. Can anybody tell me where I go wrong and how to get this connection working??
Thanks, Manfred
