I am interested in hiring someone to write me a simple inline page that will
perform a Filemaker script based on a Lasso URL event. Here is what I have
in mind:

I have a client folder in the web site which I want to treat as a "watched"
folder. There will be a Lasso URL event which is scheduled to repeat every
few minutes. The scheduled event is looking for a particular Inline page
inside the client's folder. The inline tag will find a set of records, then
call a FileMaker script that deletes that found set of records and imports
new records from a text file of a particular name.

Every time a client uploads a new text file via FTP, it overwrites the prior
one. That part is already working OK. The FileMaker script that will be
called by the inline tag is also already working perfectly.

The only problem I have at the present time is that I don't have a way of
watching the folder to call the script. Blue World tells me it can be done
with a scheduled URL Event that repeats and an Inline page that invokes the
script.

An additional challenge is that once the script has acted on the file, we
want to suspend the behavior until the next file arrives. Otherwise,
FileMaker would be constantly re-importing the same records again and again,
every few minutes. So, there has to be a way of flagging something as "new"
vs "already done"


I am very eager for this solution because I just migrated my web server from
OS-9 to OS-X and can't run my OS-9 Applescript engine yet under OS-X. Being
able to do it within Lasso will give me other advantages that make it
worthwhile.

If you are interested in doing this and your price is not astronomical, I
would be glad to pay promptly. I can give you the folder scheme by reply
email with a more detailed explanation if one is needed.

Applescript running under OS-X is OK with me too.
