I've loaded Lasso Studio 6 for GoLive on my powerbook. Right now, the only thing I really want is to be able to test a website using Lasso 6, which is apparently the web data engine that is installed when I installed Lasso Studio 6.
What do I need to do so I an type in the window of my browser 'http://127.0.0.1', and end up at a website I want to test instead of a page that talks about the default apache server? With the 3.6.6 web data engine, there was a 'select root directory' button.
THE REMAINDER OF THIS IS SIMPLY VENTING TO MAKE MYSELF FEEL BETTER --- NO NEED TO READ
With Lasso Studio 1.7 I could write the code by hand (a way I'm more comfortable learning), set the root directory of my Lasso Web Data Engine to the site I was working on, and happily do my thing. The fustration came about when I upgraded to OSX, and unless I was connected to the internet, I couldn't make the 3.6.6 web data engine talk to my browser...unless of course I booted back to OS 9, then everything worked like I liked it to.
I admit, there are a LOT of cool buttons and interface thingies...but the one thing i want, seems to be missing!!
