There's one thing missing in my OSX setup of Eclipse 3.1 and that's a
working ftp-plugin. Well I could do this with an external app but I'd
rather do it within Eclipse.

I've tried to install the eclipse-FTP-WebDAV-3.1.1 but it doesn't load
at all. I tried this plugin with Eclipse 3.0, it loaded but it wouldn't
connect to our win2003 server. SMB is turned off for security-reasons.

It will probably be a win-machine even in the future. A FrankenMac or
Xserve will probably never make it to our server-room... :-(

At the moment I use a Subversion-plugin and things are really working
the way I'd like when it comes to version-handling(subversion running
on an old imac), but I keep sending the whole solution up to the main
server (windows2003 server).

The setup of the Subversion-server and plugin-config was quite easy and
now I can synchronize code I do at home with the code I work on at the
office and it's really going smooth. I've not yet found a drawback to
this way of working.

It would be interesting to hear how other LSÆ’E-users use Eclipse. What
plugins you would recommend and how they affect/improve your way of
working.

How do you deploy? How do you keep the lasso-security synchronized
between the dev-machine and the deploy-machine?

I still find BBEdit to be a *much* better editor, but still LSÆ’E is
making my lasso-developing a bit easier/better. There are BBEdit
features that would make it even better, like the cmd-b to select text
within a set of parenthesis or brackets.

This is maybe a topic for a "Tip of the week", or a new great "Lasso
Tips" from M i l e s.

I think we can all benefit from it, if we can get an discussion on
this/these topics started. Things are a bit slow on this list... :-)
