[ANN] OmniPilot Software, Inc. Announces Lasso Professional and Lasso Studio 7.1.1
We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of Lasso Professional 7.1.1 and Lasso Studio 7.1.1. Lasso Professional 7.1.1 contains the following updates and fixes. Lasso Studio 7.1.1 contains no fixes for the authoring environment for either Dreamweaver MX 2004 or Adobe GoLive CS, but contains all the Lasso Professional 7.1.1 fixes:
Updates and Fixes:
- The Lasso Connector for FileMaker SA will now send authentication information specified in the host to FileMaker Server Advanced when requesting a list of databases. This resolves an issue where no databases would be returned if FileMaker Server was set to only show databases that the authenticating user had access to.
- Fixed an issue where field types would be returned as Unknown if the layout specified had a value list assigned to it.
- Fixed an issue where the [Field_Names] tag would return two sets of field names if the layout specified had a value list on it.
- Sessions will no longer store invalid XML characters for non-binary data types such as Strings. These invalid characters are [#x0 - #x8], [#xB-#xC], [#xE-#x1F], [xD800-xDFFF] and [#xFFFE-xFFFF]. If the invalid characters are found trying to be stored in the session they will automatically be stripped from the data before it is submitted into the sessions table. This change does not affect binary data types being stored in sessions, such as the Bytes type. If you need to transmit any of the invalid characters listed, you should store them in a Bytes object, which is designed for that type of information.
- [Encode_XML] will remove characters [#x0 - #x8], [#xB-#xC], [#xE-#x1F], [xD800-xDFFF] and [#xFFFE-xFFFF] from the input string before performing encoding. This is to prevent invalid XML data from being created, as the specified characters are illegal.
- Fixed an issue with non-quoted-printable email where the first character of each line could be replaced by a period.
- [Session_AddVar] now requires that the names of variables be of type string.
- The [Lasso_DatasourceIs...] tags have been moved out of the core code and converted into LDML versions. As a result, several new [Lasso_DatasourceIs...] tags have been created:
The source code for these new tags can be found in the DatasourceIs.lasso file contained in the Documentation/4-ExtendingLasso/LassoApps/Startup folder.
- The [Log] ... [/Log] tag will now output using Mac-Roman encoding on Mac OS X systems and ISO-8859-1 encoding on Windows and Linux systems. Alternately, a new -Encoding parameter allows a specific encoding to be specified.
