Bellevue, WA--January 3, 2002--Blue World Communications, Inc.--pioneers of the Web Data Engine--today announced its presence at next week's Macworld Expo trade show in San Francisco, California. Blue World and partners will showcase Blue World Lasso products, the leading products for building and serving data-driven Web sites on Macintosh and beyond.

The Blue World booth (#3426) at Macworld Expo will be located in the MacTech Central pavilion in the North Hall of the Moscone Convention Center during show hours from Tuesday January 8 thru Friday January 11. Blue World representatives will showcase Lasso Professional 5--the next-generation Web application server for serving data-driven Web sites on Mac OS X, Mac OS X Server and other leading operating systems. Blue World will showcase Lasso Professional 5 working with the Apache Web server embedded in Mac OS X and with 4D WebSTAR V, the leading Web server for Macintosh. Blue World will also showcase connectivity to Lasso MySQL--the high performance SQL database embedded in Lasso Professional 5 based on MySQL, the most popular database on the Internet. And, Blue World will demonstrate how easy it is to Web-enable FileMaker Pro databases using Lasso products.
Blue World will also demonstrate Lasso Studio, the innovative and easy to use tool for building data-driven solutions right within Adobe GoLive and Macromedia Dreamweaver. Macworld magazine cites Lasso Studio as "the easiest way to create a database-driven Web site" and using Lasso Studio, thousands of Web designers have discovered how they can build data-driven Web sites themselves, without needing to employ high-end programming resources. In celebration of the success of Lasso Studio, Blue World will distribute free Lasso Studio t-shirts to visitors at its booth while supplies last.
Meet the CEO
Blue World CEO Bill Doerrfeld will demonstrate Lasso Studio for Adobe GoLive in the main theatre of the Adobe booth (#1829) during presentations of Adobe GoLive. Mr. Doerrfeld will also greet visitors at the Blue World booth and be available during the show for private meetings to discuss Blue World's mission to provide Web developers with the best tools to build and serve data-driven Web sites.
Lasso the Show
Various leading Macintosh vendors who have aligned themselves with Blue World Lasso technology will showcase their products at Macworld Expo, including FileMaker, Inc. (booth #717), 4D, Inc. (#1442) and FrontBase, Inc. (#2333). Visitors to the Co-Media Marketing, Inc. booth (#2248) can learn how to participate in the forthcoming Lasso Resource Guide from Co-Media Marketing and purchase Lasso training CD-ROMs. Visitors to the MacAcademy booth (#1648) can learn about Lasso training seminars and purchase Lasso training CD-ROMs.
Lasso products will also be featured by Cris Ippolite of iSolutions, Inc. in his 'FileMaker and Web Technologies' session during the Power Tools Conference: FileMaker Pro on Tuesday January 8, 2002 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM at Moscone Center.
Lastly, Lasso products will be showcased in an event bringing Macintosh Web professionals together with leading Macintosh Web tool vendors.
